Patriot Act: What An Act!!!

After the barbaric attack on US twin towers, the George W. Bush Government moved swiftly to introduce "The Patriot Act" which civil libertarians argue curbs individual rights. This Act encroaches on individual liberty in the name of national security. The Act allows FBI to monitor which books the US citizens read or borrow from libraries. Such tactics are viewed with suspicion by sceptics of this administration. Everyone agrees that terrorism must be dealt with firmly but it should not be taken as an excuse to render individual rights invalid. No doubt this arguement will keep raging on whilst the The US Congress and Senate debate to extend this act with sufficient checks and balances to rein in an an FBI, who many believe may use this act unjudiciously.
